Aluminium ingots. Connected to your requirements.
Start your sourcing enquiry with the grade, volume and delivery terms your business needs — or tell us about material you can offer.

Primary aluminium ingots, specified precisely.
Friend’s Oil Company acts as an intermediary between buyers and suppliers of primary aluminium ingots. We work from your stated requirement — minimum aluminium content, grade or governing standard, quantity, destination and timing — and seek offers that match it.
Primary aluminium is produced from alumina by electrolysis. Alloy ingots for foundry and die-casting use are a separate product with their own standards.
Specification, origin, packaging and documentation are confirmed in each supplier offer. Quotations are provided on request and are subject to confirmation.

Each line shows what you specify as a buyer and what is confirmed in a supplier’s offer. Nothing here describes stock held by Friend’s Oil Company.
| Specification | Buyer requirement | Confirmed in the supplier offer |
|---|---|---|
| Product form | Ingots, T-bars or sows, as required | Form offered |
| Aluminium purity | Minimum aluminium content, e.g. 99.70% | Guaranteed minimum aluminium content |
| Grade and standard | Designation and governing standard, e.g. P1020A | Designation and standard the material meets |
| Chemical composition | Limits for silicon, iron and other elements, if required | Analysis per lot, such as a Certificate of Analysis |
| Quantity | Metric tonnes per shipment; programme volume if recurring | Quantity offered, in metric tonnes |
| Ingot weight or packaging | Preferred ingot weight, bundling or packaging | Ingot weight and bundle or packing details |
| Producer and country of origin | Origin requirements or restrictions, if any | Producer and country of origin, when confirmed |
| Delivery destination | Country and named port or place | Port or place of delivery offered |
| Delivery terms | Requested Incoterm and named place | Proposed delivery basis |
| Shipment schedule | Desired shipment window | Availability and shipment period |
| Documentation | Documents you require | Documents available with the offer |
State the minimum aluminium content you need
Choose a minimum aluminium content to start a quotation request. These are enquiry options: availability at any purity is confirmed only in a supplier’s offer.
Purity is not the same as a grade. A grade such as P1020A is defined by a designation or standard with limits for several elements, so it is selected separately in the enquiry.
P1020A reference composition
Shown for orientation. It describes the P1020A designation, not a specific offer.
| Element | Limit type | P1020A reference requirement (% by mass) |
|---|---|---|
| Aluminium (Al) | Minimum | Minimum 99.70% |
| Silicon (Si) | Maximum | Maximum 0.10% |
| Iron (Fe) | Maximum | Maximum 0.20% |
| Other elements | Varies | According to the P1020A registration and the agreed contract |
P1020A describes the chemical composition. The product form — ingots, T-bars or sows — and any brand or exchange-acceptance requirement are specified separately.
Brand, origin and documentation requirements are confirmed for each transaction.
What a useful quotation needs
- Quantity per shipment

- Specification
- Minimum aluminium content, grade or standard, and any chemistry limits.
- Delivery location
- Country and named port or place.
- Shipment window
- The period in which the material should be shipped or delivered.
- Packaging
- Ingot weight, bundling and marking requirements.
- Delivery basis
- The requested Incoterm, such as CIF or DAP, with its named place.

How pricing is established
Pricing depends on the agreed specification, quantity, origin, delivery basis, timing and payment terms. Quotations are provided on request; no prices are published on this website.
Where the parties agree, a price may reference a published benchmark such as an LME aluminium price. The offer then states the applicable physical premium and other terms separately. A benchmark on its own is not a delivered purchase price.
Proposed brokerage workflow
A typical sequence for an aluminium ingot transaction. Each step proceeds only with the agreement of the parties involved.
- 01
Define the requirement
Grade, chemistry, quantity, destination and timing.
- 02
Review the proposed material
Specification, origin, packaging and supporting documentation.
- 03
Align commercial terms
Price basis, delivery, payment arrangements and any agreed inspection.
- 04
Confirm the transaction
Proceed only once the parties have agreed the relevant terms.
Common questions
Which aluminium specifications can I enquire about?
Primary aluminium ingots at a stated minimum aluminium content — for example 99.70%, 99.80% or 99.90% — together with a named grade or standard such as P1020A. You can also describe a custom specification. Alloy ingots for foundry use have their own page.
Is purity the same as a grade?
No. Purity is the minimum aluminium content. A grade or designation such as P1020A sets limits for several elements under a governing standard. Two grades with similar aluminium content are not necessarily equivalent, so state both in your enquiry.
Can I request monthly supply?
Yes. Choose a recurring requirement and state the quantity per shipment and the programme volume per month, quarter or year. Whether a programme can be supported is confirmed in the offer.
What information is needed for a quotation?
The specification, quantity per shipment, delivery location, requested delivery basis and shipment window. Packaging, origin and documentation requirements make the offer more precise.
How are origin, packaging and documentation confirmed?
They are stated in each supplier’s offer and confirmed in the agreed contract terms. Supporting documents, such as a Certificate of Analysis, are provided as agreed for the transaction.
Can suppliers offer material through the website?
Yes. Use “Offer aluminium supply” to prepare a supply offer with the grade, purity, origin, quantity, location, packaging, availability and available documents.
How is pricing established?
By agreement between the parties, based on the specification, quantity, origin, delivery basis, timing and payment terms. A benchmark such as an LME price may be used as an agreed reference, with the physical premium and other terms stated in the offer.
Is my enquiry sent automatically?
Not at present. The website prepares your enquiry as a file for you to keep and send yourself; nothing is sent from the website.
Specifications shown are selected reference parameters for initial enquiries. Product availability, the complete agreed specification, origin, quantity, delivery terms, and applicable quality documentation are confirmed for each transaction. This information is not a Certificate of Analysis or confirmation of available stock.
Abbreviations
- LME
- London Metal Exchange — publishes the brand and quality requirements for primary aluminium it accepts, including P1020A.
- COA
- Certificate of Analysis — laboratory results for a specific shipment or batch.
Technical references
- P1020A — a registered designation for unalloyed primary aluminium (Aluminum Association registration record) and the composition referenced in LME primary aluminium contracts. Minimum 99.70% aluminium, maximum 0.10% silicon and maximum 0.20% iron are its headline limits; the full registration lists the remaining impurity limits.
